Graphic Design
In my current role of graphic designer at HDR Engineering, I’ve designed digital and print materials for a wide variety of clients, mostly consisting of municipalities, states, and other government entities. Formerly, at the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin, I was single-handedly responsible for designing the division’s print and digital materials, including but not limited to: following ad campaign schedules, overseeing print production, branding new programs, executing appropriate signage for events/installations, updating the website, assisting with social media, and photographing events. I’ve also designed for various projects for internships, nonprofits, and independent publications.

SPAM'S The Internet: The Restaurant
SPAM'S The Internet: The Restaurant was a virtual reality dining experience curated by the IRL studio at the Museum of Human Achievement for the 2017 Fusebox Festival. Visitors of the installation would make a reservation and then choose an "appetizer", "entree" and "dessert" from a menu of interactive net.art and experimental VR experiences. I was responsible for designing the menu for the installation, a small "To-Go" menu for customers to take home, and the paper inside burger baskets, all while sticking to a retro, "tacky" diner theme.
This project posed a unique design challenge because the theme was very loud, and part of the direction I received was to make the menu "almost ugly". In the end, I am very proud of all of the materials I designed, and it was gratifying to see them integrated with the rest of the beautifully-curated installation (see photos). The installation was a huge success during Fusebox, resulting in additional showings and a nomination for the Austin Critics Table Best Independent Project Award.
